Gail Verley - President

Gail Verley retired in September 2013 after 32 years with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the former Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC).  Gail’s experience included management roles in the FDIC’s Office of International Affairs, Division of Information Resource Management, Division of Insurance and Research, Division of Resolution and Receiverships and as Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer.  Upon her retirement in 2013, Gail accepted a three-year contract with the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) as Secretary General in Basel, Switzerland.  Gail joined the FDIC’s Association of FDIC Alumni, Inc (AFDICA) in 2017 and began serving on the AFDICA Board in 2018.  Gail became President of AFDICA in November 2021. 

Gail and her husband Bill reside in Bradenton, Florida.  Gail spends her time golfing, playing the piano, volunteering to support foster care children and parents, relaxing with jigsaw puzzles, and traveling abroad as well throughout the United States.  Together, Gail and Bill completed their “great American golf odyssey” of playing a round of golf in all 50 states!
